{Valentine Pancakes}

Make these for your sweeties on Valentine's Day! This is a great recipe that always makes perfect pancakes. I figured out how to make heart-shaped pancakes and my girls love it!

Pancakes
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tb. baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/4 cup oil
Mix dry ingredients. Mix eggs and milk. Add oil. Mix wet and dry ingredients together. Preheat griddle or skillet to medium high. Use a 1/4 c. measuring cup to scoop batter and pour. Wait until you see bubbles forming and flip one time with a flat spatula. Make sure they are golden brown before removing from heat.

To make a heart: Use a metal heart-shaped cookie cutter. Spray the inside of the cutter with Pam. Lay on hot surface and pour in a small amount of batter. Spread with knife to fill the inside of the cutter. When bubbles begin to form, slowly remove cutter by pulling straight up. Gently turn. (I don't do all of mine in a heart shape because it would take too long. Everyone gets one heart.)

Voila!

To sweeten things up a bit...
You can add 1 cup of chocolate chips
or
you can add 1 cup of chopped pecans
or
you can add both.
